Arteta Provides Injury Update on Martin Zubimendi and Piero Following Training Session
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Martin Zubimendi and Piero sustained injuries during a post-match training session and will undergo further scans to determine their recovery timeline.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on the fitness of two players, Martin Zubimendi and Piero, revealing they picked up injuries during a training session. The session was specifically organised for players who had limited minutes in a recent match, aiming to maintain optimal rhythm across the squad.
According to HandofArsenal, Arteta stated: “We had a training session planned after the game for those who didn't have enough minutes and to get everybody in the best rhythm. We lost two players unfortunately. Martin Zubimendi and Piero.”
The manager confirmed that both players are set to undergo further medical assessments today. "They will have further scans today then we will have the time frame," Arteta added. The club awaits the results of these scans to establish the severity of the injuries and an estimated return date for both individuals, which will be crucial for upcoming fixtures.
